Picturesque Piran (Pirano in Italian) is a resort city on Slovenia’s Adriatic coast, known for its long pier and Venetian architecture. Set amongst winding alleyways, Piran is one of the best-preserved historical towns anywhere in the Mediterranean. To the right is St. George´s Parish Church, built in the venetian renaissance architectural style.
