Mule buck deer are found throughout the Rocky Mountains and are native only to western North American. Mule deer are also one the most coveted big game trophy species in North America. Mule deer grow a new set of antlers every year. Baby mule deer, or fawns, are usually born at the beginning of the summer. For the first few weeks, the spotted babies hide while the mother is away getting food.
