People of Florence are called Florentines, or Fiorentino in Italian. Nearly a third of the world’s art treasures reside in Florence, according to UNESCO. They say all roads lead to Rome, but Florence was actually the first city in all of Europe to have paved roads. The first roads were built in 1339.
